Agentic Co-Sell: What Changed & What ISVs Need to Have Ready

Now that AWS made co-sell agentic, operational readiness is what wins

The way cloud partnerships go to market is changing structurally. AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud are all moving toward AI-orchestrated co-sell motions, and the gap between partners who are ready for that shift and those who aren't is widening fast.

At Skematic, we've been watching this closely. The short version: agentic co-sell raises the floor. If your co-sell motion is already operational, these tools accelerate it. If it’s not, they’ll surface exactly where it breaks down.

What just changed in AWS Partner Central

The new Partner Central — built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and now embedded directly inside the AWS Management Console — is the clearest signal yet of where co-sell is heading.

Key capabilities include:

  • Unified console experience: Partner Central, co-sell workflows, and AWS Marketplace data consolidated in one place, ending the era of the standalone partner portal
  • Conversational opportunity management: create and update opportunities through natural language or file upload, no manual form-filling
  • Real-time next-step recommendations: agents surface actions based on deal stage, partner tier, and Marketplace activity

For high-volume AWS partners with active pipelines and clean CRM data, the overhead reduction is real — fewer forms, faster deal progression, alliance team hours redirected away from administrative work. The question for most ISVs is whether their co-sell motion is structured enough to take advantage of any of it.

The other cloud providers aren't waiting

AWS isn't moving alone. Every major cloud provider is rebuilding its partner motion around AI agents, and the features they're shipping are worth understanding.

Microsoft is embedding autonomous co-sell agents across Dynamics 365, Teams, and Microsoft 365 via Copilot. These agents execute actual tasks across enterprise data, not just surface information. For partners already living in the Microsoft ecosystem, the integration is seamless. If your stack doesn't run on Microsoft tools, the advantage largely disappears. It's powerful, but it comes with real lock-in.

Google Cloud is making the biggest financial bet — a $750M Partner Ecosystem Fund dedicated to helping partners build and co-sell AI agent solutions. Its Partner Agent acts as a central orchestrator across the ecosystem.  The gap Google Cloud is still closing is adoption — agentic infrastructure only compounds if partners are actively building into the platform, and that flywheel hasn’t fully started yet.

The partners still running on spreadsheets and portal-hopping aren’t just behind on tooling. They’re increasingly invisible to the workflows these platforms are being built around.

The co-sell maturity gap is widening

What most teams miss: agentic tools don’t create operational readiness, they expose the absence of it.Large ISVs with clean CRM data, active pipelines, and structured Marketplace programs will see an immediate return. Smaller ISVs without that foundation will find that AI surfaces their gaps rather than solves them. An agent that can't find good opportunity data, complete Marketplace listings, or clear co-sell processes has nothing to work with.

The answer isn’t better tools. It’s doing the foundational work first.

Where Skematic comes in

Skematic is built for exactly this transition moment.

We work with smaller and emerging AWS partners to operationalize co-sell readiness — cleaning up pipeline data, activating Marketplace programs, documenting co-sell processes, and building the operational foundation that agentic systems actually need to function. Think of us as the layer between where you are today and where the ecosystem is heading.

If your co-sell motion runs on a few key relationships and institutional memory rather than documented processes, that’s a solvable problem.

In an agentic ecosystem, the winners won't just be the companies with better AI tools. They'll be the companies with partnership operations mature enough to use them.

That's the foundation Skematic helps you build.
